The Aguada beach, located on the Aguada Bay in North Goa is one of the most beautiful beaches in Goa. The beach is a clean stretch of sand, which is dotted with colorful shops, kiosks and taverns that are great places to visit and know about the local culture. It is also a nice place to shop for the traditional Goan feni and other alcoholic beverages. Besides tourists can also enjoy swimming and other water sports which are great fun.
The imposing Aguada Fort is located near the beach with its fortifications almost kissing the seashore. A part of it has now been converted into a prison while a luxurious beach resort has come up on the remnants of this old fort. This resort is very popular with affluent tourists who frequent the Aguada beach.
How to reach Aguada Beach
It is advisable to arrange your own means of transport if you travel to Aguada beach. One can also easily hire taxis or even motorbikes. There are also buses from Panaji that can drop you somewhere near the Aguada beach.
