There is a weekly flea market, on Wednesday, that is one of the main attractions for the tourists, where you can pick up everything from clothes to old bikes. In fact if you are good at bargaining, you can walk away with some very great deals. You can also take a visit to the Ingos Saturday night market, Mackies Saturday night market and other roadside and beach stalls, which are , though not equally popular than Flea Market, but worth taking a visit.
The Anjuna Beach is also a great place to try out the local Goan cuisine. The stalls also offer a wide range of delicacies from various parts of India as well. From pizzas and pastas, to prawns, try the best dishes of Goa here, while coconut drinks must not be missed. So, for someone looking for fun, food and shopping, Anjuna beach is indeed the place for you.
Once you are in Anjuna, you can also have a look at the Chapora Fort and the grand Albuquerque mansion, which are located nearby. Visit Curly's a nice place for people who enjoy trance music, and a bar culture. You can also visit the tourist shacks, which exudes the true charm of a beach.
Paradiso, is another place to see, which is actually a night club, but showing the true spirit of Goa with lots of trance music, and dancing, but if you prefer the silence and serenity then move to the hill tops of Vagator, from where you will be able to see the unending horizons of the sea.
The nearest airport is the Dabolim airport in Panaji, which is 47 km away from Anjuna. The Karmali railway station is located 29 km away. As for road travel, there are buses arriving at Anjuna from Mapusa every hour. Tourists can also hire taxis and bikes that are easily available
