Day 01: Reaching the paradise on earth- Srinagar
The first day of your vacation begins with Delhi where you will be met by our representative. You will be taken to Srinagar and put up in a deluxe houseboat. Here you will have the privilege of seeing floating gardens.
The first day excursion involves a late afternoon ride in Dal Lake on a shikara, the traditional mode of communication in Kashmir. En route you will see how walnut woodcarving is done apart from a demonstration on papier-mâché making techniques.
Spend the night in the deluxe houseboat and enjoy your dinner.
Day 02: Exploring Srinagar
The second day of your journey begins with a morning sightseeing trip to the picturesque Mughal Gardens. Two of the many historical gardens that dot the landscape of the place are Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh, located conveniently at 12 kms and 15 kms respectively from Srinagar.
Nishat Bagh, which also means ‘abode of pleasure’, was built by Asif Khan, brother-in-law of Jehangir in 1632 AD. Shalimar Bagh was built by great Mughal emperor, Jehangir as a gift of love for his beloved queen, Noor Jehan. Both these gardens are classic examples of Persian garden layout. The gardens are located at the bank of Dal Lake with Zabarwan Mountains at the backdrop. While you return you will visit a carpet factory. Your dinner will be served at the houseboat where you will spend the night.
Day 03: Shopping at Srinagar
Srinagar is famous for its exquisite handcrafted items and the third day of the trip is dedicated to shopping. You can visit the local markets and shop to your heart’s content. Spend a relaxing evening with dinner at the houseboat.
Day 04: Srinagar to Delhi
In the morning you will check out of the houseboat after breakfast. Drive to Delhi airport to catch your flight for Delhi.
