Himachal Pradesh Tours

Day 01: Delhi - Shimla (380 kms)
Arrival and reception at Delhi airport and transfer to Shimla (343 kms / 8 hrs).Shimla is the capital of Himachal Pradesh and is the former capital of Britishers, which is set in the middle of the Shivalik Mountains, offering some of the best stunning views of Himalayas. On reaching Shimla, have dinner at the hotel after check in and overnight at Shimla.

Day 02: Shimla
After breakfast, a morning excursion to the famous skiing resort of Kufri and Fagu. In the afternoon, enjoy a half day city tour, while visiting the Indian Institute Of Advanced Studies, Sankat Mochan Temple and Jakhu Temple, A leisure evening stroll in the famous shopping places of Shimla town - The Mall & The Ridge. Have dinner and stay overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Shimla – Manali enroute Rewalsar lake
After breakfast we will proceed to Manali (320 kms/8 hrs). A small diversion from Mandi, a popular place towards Rewalsar lake, which is at an altitude of 1360 metres, above the sea level. Rewalsar is a sacred spot for Hindus,Sikhs as well as Buddhists. According to the legends the great teacher Padmasambhava (Guru Rimpoche) once used his enormous powers to take flight to Tibet from Rewalsar.

At the same place, his spirit resides in the tiny island of the floating reed, which drifts over the water. It is also famous for its splendid Buddhist monasteries. Rewalsar also has three Hindu temples , dedicated to Lord Krishna, Lord Shiva and to the sage Lomas.Followed by a brief stopover at Rewalsar,we will proceed towards the next phase of the journey i.e Manali. Manali is a popular and perfect hill station , which is covered with snow mountains and the beautiful water falls. After arrival check in at hotel.- have dinner and stay overnight at Manali.

Day 04: Manali
After breakfast go for city tour to visit Hadimba Devi Temple, Manu Temple, Tibetan Monastery and Vashisht Village. Following day at leisure . Then enjoy your dinner in hotel . Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 05: Manali
Full day trip, visiting Kothi Gorge, Gulaba, Marhi, Rohtang Pass -(a popular tourist spot in the Himalayas having snow throughout the year, Upto Snow Line, in case Rohtang is closed due to snow fall) and the Sollang Valley. Evening return to hotel . Enjoy dinner and stay Overnight at hotel.

Day 06: Manali - Dharamshala
Post breakfast drive to Dharamshala 240 Km /7 hrs(which is also known as the functioning capital of the Tibetan government in exile) Dharamshala offers everything for a perfect holiday.The place is full of life and yet is peaceful. While covering a wide area in the form of twin settlement, Lower Dharamshala (1380m) makes a busy commercial centre, while upper Dharamshala (1830m) with its suburbs of Mcleodganj and Forsytheganj, still retains a British flavour and colonial lifestyle.Have dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 07: Dharamshala
Post breakfast , a sightseeing tour of Mcleodganj. H. H. The Dalai Lama resides here. Just at the start of Mcleodganj , there lies a small bazaar, which is filled with variety of Tibetan handicrafts and artifacts. While at the end of the spur, there lies the Namgyal Monastery, whose external wall is surrounded by the rows of prayer wheels. Within the monastery, there are large idols of Buddha placed. There is also a charming but gothic church of St. John , in the wilderness, which? is the final resting place of Lord Elgin also, who was the British Viceroy of India during the 19th century. Have dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 08: Dharamshala - Dalhousie
Travel from Dharamshala to Dalhousie 130 Km 4 hrs . Dalhousie is famous for its marvelous forest trails, overlook vistas of wooded hills, plants, waterfalls, spring and rivulets. Still offering a touch of the “Raj” , Dalhousie and its colonial style buildings and houses, do bring back the flavors of a gone by era. Check in Hotel. Have dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 09: Dalhousie
Post Breakfast , local sightseeing in Dalhousie. Complete day and evening at leisure, when one can just explore the splendid and pristine surroundings of Dalhousie, while enjoying a small nature walk. Overnight stay and dinner can be enjoyed at Hotel.

Day 10: Dalhousie
Post breakfast we will proceed to Khajjiar, which is often called India's Switzerland. Along its marvellous fringes, thick forests of deodar make a wonderful sight. Climbing slopes, the snow-line resting above these woods and in the centre of the glade, there is a small lake fed by streams that traverse the green carpet. Probably a glacial bowl, Khajjar was formed during the last Himalayan ice age and was left with only a lake that gradually withered away. It is a part of the notified Kalatop - Khajjiar sanctuary. Have dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 11: Depart Dalhousie-Delhi
Post breakfast check out and then transfer to Delhi 590 K M 10 hrs.
