Kashmir–e-jannat

Day 01 :  Reach Srinagar

Once you land at Delhi you will get transferred to Srinagar by our friendly representative. Check in at a deluxe houseboat and relax. Later take an afternoon boat ride of the famous Dal Lake on shikara. Cruise past the famous floating flower and vegetable gardens of Srinagar. The trip will also include walnut woodcarving and papier-mâché making demonstrations.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Srinagar

The second day of your Srinagar stay is devoted to sightseeing of the beautiful city which is known for its various gardens constructed in the Mughal era. The trip will cover two of the most famous gardens- Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh. The first one was designed by Asif Khan, brother of Mughal Empress, Noor Jehan. It is only 12 kms away from Srinagar. 
Jehangir was known to be extremely enamored about Kashmir and he built Shalimar Bagh as his summer abode.  It is located only at a distance of 15 kms from the city.  Both the gardens are situated at the picturesque background of Dal Lake and Zabarwan Mountains.

While returning from day’s expedition visit a carpet weaving factory for an enriching experience. Enjoy a dinner and a good night’s sleep at your deluxe houseboat.

Day 03 : A trip to Gulmarg

Gulmarg is popular among tourists for many reasons. It is known for its abundance of natural beauty and is referred to as the meadow of flowers. The distance of 60 kms from Srinagar can be covered in 2 and ½ hours by car.  Situated at 2730 meters above sea level it is home to some of the most famous ski slopes and also the highest golf course on earth.
The trip from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is particularly rewarding for its natural splendor. Enjoy a trekking expedition to Khilangmarg or experience a sledge ride on snow. You may even get lucky to catch a magnificent view of Nanga Parbhat from Gulmarg if the weather permits.  Chair lifts are available in Gulmarg for tourists who can’t climb heights.

Your lunch will be packed from houseboat so that you can enjoy a scrumptious meal while soaking in the beauty of Gulmarg. Return to your deluxe houseboat after the day’s excursion to enjoy dinner and good night’s sleep at the deluxe houseboat.

Day 04 : Srinagar - Pahalgam

On day four it’s time to travel to the valley of shepherds, Pahalgam. After an early breakfast start for Pahalgam and drive through the picturesque countryside, which is dotted with saffron and rice fields. Take a trip to the relics of Awantipura, a temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, built by King Awantiwareman 1100 years ago.  On your way to the hotel, drive through the groves of pine trees. You should also not forget to carry your camera to capture the beautiful scenic beauty of this part of Kashmir. Enjoy a night stay at a Pahalgam hotel.

Day 05 :  Return to Srinagar

Drive back to Srinagar and check in at a deluxe houseboat. Dine and spend the night at the houseboat.
Day 06: Shopping expedition in Srinagar
Srinagar is a famous shopping destination for its many handicraft items, which are made by local artisans. Shop all day and then get back to your hotel for the night.  

Day 07 : Srinagar – Delhi

On the last day of the trip enjoy an early breakfast and then get transferred to the airport to catch your return flight to Delhi.
