This is one of the most beautiful and leisure places in Udaipur, which a Rajput king got made for the 48 maids of his queen. The attractions of this place are beautiful floral gardens, marble structures and floorings, carved structures and amazing fountains.
Jagdish Temple :
Built by Maharana Jagat Singh in 1651 AD, the temple is a living example of Indo Aryan architecture. Surrounded by market areas, the temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and has amazing traditional art works including sculptures and statues of Hindu gods, including Krishna.
Lake Pichola :
The most important land mark of Udaipur, lake Pichola is an artificial lake having many islands and many buildings and palaces over those islands. It is a 14th century lake, which was named after the neighboring Picholi village.
Fateh Sagar :
This is another popular artificial lake built in 17th century, by the Maharana. This lake also has many islands and structures on and around it. The Hariyali Amavasya Mela (Green New Moon Fair) is organized near the lake every year, in August or September.
