Save Tigers Now

The Magnificent Tiger is the national animal of India. The ever increasing decline in their numbers has become a concern for all around the world. Actor Leonardo DiCaprio has joined the World Wildlife Fund in a new global campaign in an endeavour to save this endangered species.

The campaign aims to increase the awareness about the threats to tigers and raise funds for the preservation efforts for the same. It has a target of doubling the world's wild tiger population by 2022, the next Year of the Tiger. The Save Tigers Now campaign is supposed to run during 2010, the Chinese Year of the Tiger.
