The Fort
An old Rajput fort, built around 944 AD, Ranthambore Fort is a very strongly built structure, which was earlier called ' Ranath Bhawar Garh'. This fort also houses three temples inside, built somewhere around 13th century, devoted to lord Shiva, Rama and Ganesha. Another fort, called Jogi Mahal is also a nice building inside the park with comfortable and interesting provisions for tourists.

Bakula, the forest
Inside the park, the entire area is covered in forests and wild plants and trees, but one of the most thickly dense area of the park is called Bakula. It is mainly a wetland, with many pools and water holes which makes the wild plants to grow in abundance here. For the sheer Bermudian beauty of this place, you must take a visit.

Padam Talao
There are many lakes inside the park, but the Padam Talao is the most beautiful and the largest of these, on the banks of which stands the red sandstone Jogi Mahal. Also check out the huge Banyan tree near the lake.

Adventurous Activities of Ranthambore National Park

You can thoroughly enjoy a Ranthambore trip, with many creatures and many activities. One of the best of which is a jeep safari. Many cabs and open air gypsies are available for tourist trips inside the park, and you can have nice views of the animals from here.
